Carolinas Golf Association
The Carolinas Golf Association (CGA) is a not-for-profit educational organization founded in 1909 whose mission is to promote and to protect the game of golf in the Carolinas by providing competitions, education, support and benefits to clubs and golfers.
The CGA is the second largest golf association in the country with over 700 member clubs represented by nearly 150,000 individuals. With its rich legacy, championship traditions and commitment to the future of the game, the CGA has been a steward of golf in the Carolinas for over one hundred years.
The Carolinas Golf Association organizes several Carolinas Boys’ and Girls’ Championships each year. Many of these require qualifying to enter and are 2-4 round events. You could say these tournaments are the majors for youth golfers of the Carolinas and count significantly toward state rankings.
